I teach drawing off and on and I always try to to explain that the picture is about the picture. If the artist has no emotional conection to what he does, you end up with a technical piece that may hold some interest, but any value to the piece is supplied by the veiwer. What I get from you and your writing is that you try to do is layer each picture with an underlying purpose. Far more difficult and long term greatly more rewarding to the audience. I thank you for working this way and you’ve made me a fan!
