i can see why they would want to take the sig out, seems out of place to me, it takes away the illusion of it being real, my eye is drawn to it and it confirms that this scene and creature are painted. maybe it would be better in the corner, but i think it looks best without…

For future projects, you could try and negotiate that your signature is visible and that your name is also credited on the Credits page (I know that I will look for that and so have my art directors in the past).

nathen – yeah that was a piece I did almost a year ago; it was for a cover of something, some sort of book about a specific location for the Dungeons and Dragons world.

dkconcept – yeah, same here; I don’t quite understand why they would do that. I guess I don’t have a very attractive signature, it’s just my last name in 10 point Arial font. Maybe if I put a glow on it or something I don’t know…
