I saw a doco a while ago about how the public transport and rail systems in the US were totally screwed by the automotive industry. Basically the big car manufacturers bought up all the rail companies and stopped em running. so that cities would be built around cars as the main form of transport. We have the same problem here in Australia, we followed the US model so now our cities are reliant on car transport and our public transport is totally undeveloped compared to Canadian or European cities. Boo I say Boo!

Agreed – I’m totally into the idea of mass transit, especially in the US. Our mass transit lags behind most of the world. Having said that, I just wanted to draw an electric car. :D

It’s a sleek jet black design with wings. What’s not cool about that? I know a lot of young ladies would gladly hop into this if it were cherry red. Sweet!

Thing is, the idea of a “capacitive inductance dealio” makes me think of mass transit concepts that are currently in use in major cities like NYC, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. For reasons of practicality and cost, it would probably be more sensible for municipalities to use it exclusively for mass transit revisions of existing car dependent infrastructure than to extend the presence of personal automobiles.
