Electric cars are the future! We need to have a 21st century WPA project that retrofits the nation’s highway system with some kind of capacitive inductance dealio so that cars draw current from embedded elements in roadway surfaces. Reduce the need for a mass of heavy batteries in the car, and charge (ar ar) drivers by the amount of current they draw.

Anyway, just an old doodle I polished up and decided to post. It’s been forever since I had a minute to do non-client work. I really miss it.

Hello out there. I am working on a ton of stuff at the moment, including a pretty exciting gig on Zack Snyder’s new movie “Sucker Punch.” I’m doing some character designs for costume designer Michael Wilkinson. Zack Snyder directed 300 and Watchmen recently.

This guy is the basis of the (fake) Man-Thing cover in the comics section of the portfolio. A new sci-fi horror take on the old pulp era Bug Eyed Monster (BEM for short). There will be a complete step-by-step demo of this piece in my forthcoming art book, called “Extreme Worlds.” Hey, I don’t make up the book titles, the publisher does…

Procrastination – I am a bit swamped at the moment, which is usually when I start creating little sketches like this. But now it’s out of my system and maybe I can get back on track. Actually I think taking a few minutes out to do stuff like this once in a while is a good way to clear your mind out a bit, especially if you are on a fairly long term project as I am right now. Or I may just be trying to justify it.
