Here is page 1, a little further along as well. I’ve re-used some of the concept sketches and paintings from a while back to quickly block in a lot of information. Digital art is your friend, and Dave Wilkins is mine for letting me in on the tricks of the trade…
And here is it after a couple of hours more work, and flipped back to its original orientation…
Chipping away at the final art now that I have the 12 page sequence thumbnailed out… this is page 10. You’ll notice that the image is flipped – my old “check it in the mirrow” trick.
And here are pages 0-5 of the thumbnails. Again still scratchy, and also you might notice that I have changed the design of the main character back to my original sketch from several posts ago. I want to get a certain mix of sci-fi, contemporary and fantasy in the look and feel.
Bet you all thought I had given up on this eh? Just because it’s been a few months… Anyway this is a shot of pages 6 through 11 of the comic book story idea that started this blog in the first place. It’s still in the extremely scratchy thumbnail stages, but I think you can start to see how the story and action are flowing.
I recently learned that my friend Seth Fisher passed away recently. I will miss him terribly.
